Bid packages and subcontract agreements
Prepare scoped bid packages, review invited responses and use available award and agreement actions. Issuing requires Team or above and the appropriate business permissions.
Prepare a defined work package for subcontractor responses and retain the reviewed package, invitation and agreement context.
Before you start
Availability: Team plan and above. Enabled business features, role permissions, connected providers and supported devices may add requirements.
Where to find it: Jobs Lifecycle > Bid packages and subcontract agreements.
Select the correct business and job, confirm your issuing permission and review the scope, deadline, questions, documents and contacts. Separate receiving a bid invitation from permission to issue packages.
Using this guide in United States
- Choose your business country when creating a new account. For an existing business, check the country in Business settings before entering addresses or preparing documents. Some country changes are unavailable for existing businesses, even when new accounts can sign up in that country. Changing the public website region does not change your business settings.
- Check the business currency (USD), time zone and document tax settings. Only enable tax collection if your business is registered and the settings match your requirements. Your customer invoice tax settings are separate from tax on your AllQuote subscription.
- Screenshots use demonstration records. Their sample currency, addresses and tax amounts do not override your business settings.
Step by step
- Open Bids & Subcontracts and choose Issued in the intended business.
- Create a draft package with its job, scope, deadline, requirements and subcontractor contacts. Review every document and revision.
- Review the invitation preview and delivery status before choosing an available send action. A saved preview is not a sent invitation.
- Review responses, insurance information and agreement terms before using an available award or acceptance action.
Worked example
Create a draft package for a defined installation scope. Check the invitation preview and required files. Use only the actions shown as available; after a response arrives, review it and the agreement terms before an award or acceptance.
This is an illustrative scenario. Use your own approved scope, quantities, rates and business rules.
Check the result
Reopen the package and check its current revision, response and agreement state. Check delivery status separately from a saved preview. If permissions, business context or a record revision changed, reload and review rather than submitting stale instructions.
Limits and troubleshooting
Issued packages require Team or above and appropriate permissions; receiving/responding has separate access rules. Invitations, private files, insurance, awards and agreements depend on configured services and security. Email sending is disabled on hosted beta. Work, variations and claims are disabled in the current subcontract workflow; no payment or completed work should be inferred from an agreement record.
