Sign in, register and confirm your email on mobile

Use ordinary account credentials, confirm a new registration by email before it exists, and recover an unconfirmed or invited account without guessing.

Before you start

Use your own AllQuote email and password, or a Google or Apple account whose email that provider has verified. The AllQuote mobile app uses the same ordinary account as the website. When registering, choose the country of the business you are creating, not the public website region you happen to be browsing; the website region and the phone’s location do not set or switch a business. You need access to the mailbox for the address you register.

Plan eligibility, business features, permissions and device support still apply. Reading a guide does not grant access.

Step by step

  1. To create a new business account, open the app and choose Register now. Enter First name, Last name, an optional Business name, Email, Password and Confirm password. Choose the business country, then its state, region or province and timezone where asked. Where a currency or tax note appears for that country, read it before continuing.
  2. Choose Create account once. On a current app, success shows Check your email with the address the server recorded. Your details remain a pending registration: no account, business, plan or sign-in is created until the emailed link is confirmed.
  3. The confirmation deadline is fixed at 48 hours after the registration started, and the screen shows that time. Send a new confirmation link becomes available after a short wait. A new email does not extend the 48 hours. Check junk or spam folders before resending; after several emails the app reports that the most emails allowed have been sent.
  4. Open the link from the email on any device. The web page asks you to confirm; confirming there creates the account but does not sign you in. The same page lets you decline a registration you did not start.
  5. Return to the app yourself and choose I have confirmed — sign in, then sign in with the same email and password. Opening the link in a browser does not guarantee an automatic hand-off back into the app, and the app does not poll or sign you in from the Check email screen.
  6. If the app shows Confirmation email not sent, the registration is held until the displayed time but email delivery was not confirmed. Use Send a new confirmation link to try delivery again; you do not need to start again, and retrying does not change the 48-hour deadline. If sending still fails, wait and try again later.
  7. If the app shows This registration has expired, an unconfirmed attempt can no longer create an account after its deadline. If you already confirmed on another device, choose I have already confirmed — sign in. Otherwise choose Start registration again: your details stay filled in but you re-enter the password, and the new attempt has its own 48 hours. Wrong email? Start again discards the current attempt. Registering the same email again replaces an earlier unconfirmed attempt, and that earlier link stops working.
  8. Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google appears only where the installed app supports it. For a brand-new account, choose the business country, and the state or province and timezone where asked, before tapping the provider. A new account is created only from an email the provider reports as verified; that is the provider confirming the address, not a way around confirmation. An existing account still needs its own confirmed email.
  9. If sign-in says to confirm your email first, the account already exists and its businesses and records are kept. When sending is allowed, the server emails a fresh confirmation link; open it, confirm, then sign in again. On a current app, Confirm your email on the web opens the public recovery form, where you enter the address to request another link.
  10. If a team owner invited you and you are new to AllQuote, open the invitation email and accept it in a browser with your own name, region and password. Accepting that emailed invitation confirms the invited address, so no second confirmation email is needed. The inviter typing your address does not confirm it on its own. Then sign in to the app with that email and password. If you already have an AllQuote account, sign in with your existing credentials and accept the membership invitation; do not create a second account or replace your existing password.

Worked example

A New Zealand owner registers on the app and sees Check your email with the displayed deadline. Next morning they open the link on a laptop and confirm; the phone is still on the Check email screen, so they choose I have confirmed — sign in and use the same password. A colleague later accepts their invitation email in a browser and signs in to the app without waiting for another email.

This is an illustrative scenario, not a customer testimonial.

Check the result

After signing in, check the active business name, country and currency before creating work. A Check email screen, a sent email or an opened link is not a signed-in account; only a successful sign-in is.

Limits and troubleshooting

  • Older app versions do not show the Check email screen. After Create account they can show an error-styled message, sometimes with an HTTP code, telling you to check your email and then sign in. That is expected: open the emailed link, confirm, then sign in. For an unconfirmed account an older version can show a general sign-in failure instead of Confirm your email on the web; use the link the server emailed, or the website’s email confirmation recovery page.
  • A countdown on Send a new link, or a message asking you to wait, means the next email is not available yet. Do not reinstall or register repeatedly: each new registration replaces the previous attempt and its link.
  • If Apple did not confirm the Apple ID’s email, a current app says the sign-in did not share a verified email address and offers Register with email instead. A Google account whose email Google has not verified is also refused; the app may only say that sign-in isn’t available. In both cases, register with your email address. If the address already has an AllQuote account, sign in with its email and password; you may be asked to connect the provider later in Settings.
  • The app keeps a pending registration only while that screen is open. If the phone closes the app, the emailed link still works until its deadline; to get another email after that, register again, which starts a new 48 hours.
  • Signing in to another account shows that account’s businesses and data. The website’s regional address, a browser’s country or an emulator’s location do not choose your account or business.

Business settings in New Zealand

  • Set your business country in Business settings before entering customer addresses or preparing documents. The country selected on the public website does not change an existing business.
  • Check the business currency (NZD), time zone and document tax settings. Only enable tax collection if your business is registered and the settings match your requirements. Your customer invoice tax settings are separate from tax on your AllQuote subscription.
  • Screenshots use demonstration records. Their sample currency, addresses and tax amounts do not override your business settings.
  • The included plan allowances remain available. Additional Office-user, storage-block and credit-pack purchases are not yet configured in local currency; Australian add-on examples are not an offer to charge your account in AUD.
