CSV stock import and export
Moves inventory in and out of AllQuote using CSV, including a review step before import changes are applied.
Use the pricebook spreadsheet workflow to import supplier or internal item data and optionally re-cost matching inventory.
Before you start
Availability: Team plan and above. Enabled business features, role permissions, connected providers and supported devices may add requirements.
Documented roles: Owner, Office. A role name alone does not override the permissions set by your business.
Where to find it: Price book > CSV / spreadsheet.
Export the current file for reference and inspect the incoming columns, units, tax basis and matching identifiers. Decide whether matching stock costs should change.
Using this guide in Canada
- Set your business country in Business settings before entering customer addresses or preparing documents. The country selected on the public website does not change an existing business.
- Check the business currency (CAD), time zone and document tax settings. Only enable tax collection if your business is registered and the settings match your requirements. Your customer invoice tax settings are separate from tax on your AllQuote subscription.
- Screenshots use demonstration records. Their sample currency, addresses and tax amounts do not override your business settings.

Step by step
- Open Pricebook from the sidebar or go to /pricebook.
- In Price book CSV / spreadsheet, press Download CSV to export the current pricebook.
- Press Import CSV / spreadsheet, choose Select file..., and match spreadsheet columns in the column-match popup.
- Leave Also re-cost matching stock items (by barcode / SKU / name) checked when existing stock costs should update from matching pricebook rows.
- Press Import, then return to Stock and review the affected items.
Worked example
Map a supplier spreadsheet's SKU, description and cost columns, inspect the mapping, and leave stock re-costing selected only if that is the intended outcome.
This is an illustrative scenario. Use your own approved scope, quantities, rates and business rules.
Check the result
Review representative changed pricebook and stock rows after import. Check item matching and costs rather than assuming every similarly named row matched correctly.
Limits and troubleshooting
This workflow updates pricebook data and optionally matching stock costs; it is not a substitute for a physical stocktake. A bad column mapping can produce plausible but incorrect prices.
