Respond to an incoming job offer on mobile

Check the business and job, accept only after a live result, and recover closed offers or queued declines.

Before you start

Use the account to which the business sent the offer. The incoming crew screen is separate from an authorised dispatcher’s Job offers management page. Current dispatch access, membership, targeting and remaining places apply; basic Free or Takeoff scheduling does not grant advanced dispatch. Receiving an offer is not accepting it.

Plan eligibility, business features, permissions and device support still apply. Reading a guide does not grant access.

Step by step

  1. Open the job-offer notification to reach the incoming Job offer screen. Check the business, job title, address, customer and dispatcher’s message before responding. Refresh a cached list when connected.
  2. If the screen offers Turn on Available, review your availability first. Turning it on allows eligible new offers; it does not accept the current job. Existing pending offers can still appear while you are unavailable.
  3. Choose Accept only when you intend to take the work and have a connection. Acceptance is checked live; it is not placed in the offline queue and another worker may fill the remaining place first.
  4. Read the actual response. You’re on the job! opens the assigned job or Jobs list; check its identifying details and assignment. That job was just filled or a closed-ping notice means the offer is no longer available. You’ve already got this one directs you back to existing jobs rather than creating another assignment.
  5. If you cannot take the offer, choose Decline. Declined — will sync means your response is queued. It removes you from that offer’s target list when accepted by the server; it does not cancel the dispatcher’s job or remove another worker.
  6. After an uncertain response, refresh the offer and check Jobs for the existing assignment before trying again. For a queued decline, inspect Sync centre and refresh after reconnecting. A toast alone is not proof of the final server result.
  7. Open the accepted job and review its scope, location, crew and required safety steps before starting. Acceptance can make an emergency dispatch job do-and-charge; it is not customer payment, an approved quote, a completed safety check or permission to alter an agreed price.

Worked example

A crew member opens a ping after regaining signal. They check the named business and address, then Accept. If it has already filled, they refresh instead of creating a duplicate job. If acceptance succeeded but navigation was interrupted, they recover the assignment from Jobs.

This is an illustrative scenario, not a customer testimonial.

Check the result

Confirm the live acceptance response and the same job in your permitted Jobs list. For a decline, confirm the original offer is no longer pending after sync. Verify customer agreement, pricing and payments through their own records.

Limits and troubleshooting

  • You need a connection to accept a job means nothing has been queued to claim that place later. Reconnect and refresh; a place may no longer be available.
  • A notification may refer to an offer that filled, expired or was already handled. A closed-ping notice is not evidence the app deleted the underlying job. Ask the dispatcher about the original job if its status is unclear.
  • If access or targeting is refused, check the account and named business with the dispatcher. Do not switch accounts or repeatedly press Accept to bypass the refusal. Accepting work does not itself prove licence, equipment or site readiness.
  • Availability, location sharing and notification permissions are separate controls. This walkthrough does not enable outbound customer SMS, provider payments or emergency-service dispatch, and does not promise an offer will arrive in every region or plan.

Business settings in New Zealand

  • Set your business country in Business settings before entering customer addresses or preparing documents. The country selected on the public website does not change an existing business.
  • Check the business currency (NZD), time zone and document tax settings. Only enable tax collection if your business is registered and the settings match your requirements. Your customer invoice tax settings are separate from tax on your AllQuote subscription.
  • Screenshots use demonstration records. Their sample currency, addresses and tax amounts do not override your business settings.
  • Enter the complete street, locality, state or province where applicable, and postal code. If suggestions are unavailable, use manual entry and check the saved address. A saved address without verified coordinates should not be treated as a confirmed map pin or routing destination.
