Advanced subcontract workflow availability
Understand the Business-tier setting for advanced subcontract workflows and check what this release actually enables. A plan entitlement does not enable an unfinished workflow.
Check the status of advanced subcontract capabilities before planning an approval or reporting process around them.
Before you start
Availability: Business plan and above. Enabled business features, role permissions, connected providers and supported devices may add requirements.
Where to find it: Jobs Lifecycle > Advanced subcontract workflow availability.
Confirm the Business-tier entitlement and role permissions, then inspect the actions available in Bids & Subcontracts. Entitlement and runtime availability are separate checks.
Using this guide in New Zealand
- Choose your business country when creating a new account. For an existing business, check the country in Business settings before entering addresses or preparing documents. Some country changes are unavailable for existing businesses, even when new accounts can sign up in that country. Changing the public website region does not change your business settings.
- Check the business currency (NZD), time zone and document tax settings. Only enable tax collection if your business is registered and the settings match your requirements. Your customer invoice tax settings are separate from tax on your AllQuote subscription.
- Screenshots use demonstration records. Their sample currency, addresses and tax amounts do not override your business settings.
Step by step
- Open Bids & Subcontracts and review the available actions for your role and business.
- Review the package and agreement records using the available workflow.
- Do not treat approval chains, bulk actions or reporting as available merely because the advanced setting is listed. Confirm an enabled control and its result before relying on it.
- Keep work, variations and claims in the approved existing business process while those subcontract actions are disabled.
Worked example
A business sees the advanced feature setting but no enabled approval-chain or bulk-action control. Continue reviewing individual package and agreement records; do not assume an approval chain ran or a bulk change was applied.
This is an illustrative scenario. Use your own approved scope, quantities, rates and business rules.
Check the result
Use a recorded result from an enabled action as evidence. A registry setting, plan label or documentation page is not evidence that approval chains, reporting or bulk actions are operational.
Limits and troubleshooting
Advanced subcontract approval chains, reporting and bulk actions are not enabled in this release. The current runtime also disables work, variations and claims. This guide documents that boundary and does not unlock those capabilities or promise a release date.
