Find and restore archived work

Find archived jobs and eligible deleted quotes without confusing archive with permanent removal.

Find archived jobs and eligible deleted quotes without confusing archive with permanent removal.

Before you start

Availability: Plan and role requirements vary. Enabled business features, role permissions, connected providers and supported devices may add requirements.

Documented roles: Owner, Office, Team. A role name alone does not override the permissions set by your business.

Where to find it: Find and restore archived work.

Have the job or quote number available and check the active business. Restore and permanent removal require additional permission.

Using this guide in New Zealand

  • Choose your business country when creating a new account. For an existing business, check the country in Business settings before entering addresses or preparing documents. Some country changes are unavailable for existing businesses, even when new accounts can sign up in that country. Changing the public website region does not change your business settings.
  • Check the business currency (NZD), time zone and document tax settings. Only enable tax collection if your business is registered and the settings match your requirements. Your customer invoice tax settings are separate from tax on your AllQuote subscription.
  • Screenshots use demonstration records. Their sample currency, addresses and tax amounts do not override your business settings.

Step by step

  1. Open Archive and filter by Jobs, Quotes or search text.
  2. Inspect the intended record and its removal date before selecting it. Field users only see accessible archived jobs and do not see deleted quotes.
  3. Where you have delete/restore permission, choose the intended restore action and review its result for each selected record.
  4. Reopen the restored work in its normal list. Review a permanent removal confirmation carefully; it is different from restoring an archive item.

Worked example

Find a fictional archived job by number, select that job for an authorised restore and reopen it in the normal job list. Check its existing links rather than creating a replacement job.

This is an illustrative scenario. Use your own approved scope, quantities, rates and business rules.

Check the result

Reopen the original record or confirmed result, check its business and key values, and resolve any error or uncertain response before repeating the action.

Limits and troubleshooting

Archive is not an indefinite backup. Access restrictions still apply, and a bulk operation can report different results for different records.
